Yey Coronel
Executive Director

Yey was an Assistant Deputy Mayor for Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan as well as Mayor James K. Hahn’s Director of Community Development and Liaison for the Asian/Pacific Islander Community.  She had also been the assistant Chief Grants Administrator at the Los Angeles City Community Development Department.  Ms. Coronel’s experiences span oversight responsibilities on grants management, housing and urban development, homelessness reduction, public housing and community development, human and social services, as well as people with AIDS.  Her extensive community involvement provides her with a unique multi-and inter-cultural experience that can enhance FASGI’s community base.
Cris B. Liban, P.E.

Dr. Cris B. Liban is the Environmental Compliance and Services Manager of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.  A magna cum laude graduate of the University of the Philippines-Diliman, he also earned a doctorate in Environmental Science and Engineering from UCLA.  He oversees Metro's environmental programs including environmental liabilities determination, compliance, site clean-up, and clearance.  Dr. Liban also co-coordinates Metro's Sustainability Program.
Allison Aquino-Silva, Esq.

Allison Aquino-Silva earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Ecology, specializing in Crime, Law, and Society, and a minor in Business Management in three years from the University of California, Irvine.  Atty. Aquino-Silva graudated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, and attended the Dickinson School of Law in Florence, Italy.  She is certificied as an Immigration & Nationality Law Specialist, and is possibly the first Filipino-American to have such certification.
Rafael Bernardino, Jr., Esq.

Rafael Bernardino, Jr. is a Name Partner with the law firm of Hobson, Bernardino & Davis, LLP.  In addition to his extensive trial experience in both civil and criminal law, Mr. Bernardino was formerly Police Commissioner for the City of Los Angeles, and has held other significant positions with the City of Los Angeles. Rafael was born and raised in Los Angeles, where he attended the University of Southern California, earning a B.A. in Economics and his law degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was on the Law Review.
Bruce Brown

Mr. Bruce Brown is the Risk Manager of Los Angeles World Airport since August 2004.  He is responsible for planning, directing and organizing the L.A. Airport Risk Management Division, with an annual budget of $20M.  He started as a management assistant in 1998 and became the Risk Manager in August 2004.  Prior to working at the airport, he was a management assistant at the Police Department Organized Crime Intelligence Division and Records and Identification Division of the City of Los Angeles.

As Founder and CEO of Millennium Momentum Foundation Inc., Jason Seward has been regarded by not only Southern California community leaders, but officially across the Nation as a young visionary and advocate for the New Generation of Leadership.  Millennium Momentum Foundation, Inc., a nonpartisan, nonprofit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation, to increase the number of young adults from various ethnic backgrounds in the fields of Public Administration, Public Policy and Corporate Public Affairs.

Currently, Dr. Sistoza has a private practice called Access Medical Group in Marina del Rey.  He did a one year fellowship in Geriatric Medicine in the Drew University-MLK  Program in Los Angeles, CA, Locum Tenens, La Vida Medical Group, Locum Tenens, and Alicia Cuento, MD, Inc.

Joseph Aredas
Board Member

Joseph A. Aredas, a native of Southern California, grew up in historic Filipinotown near Temple and Figueroa Streets.  He began his career in the entertainment industry in 1967 at the MGM machine shop as a member of the former Cinetechnicians Local No. 789 of the IATSE.  In 1980, Aredas was appointed to the position of Assistant Business Representative of IATSE Local No. 695 (Sound Technicians), and was the Vice President of the Human Relations/Labor Relations Department, Consolidated Film Labs (CFI).

Josie Jones is the CEO/President of Admiral Home Health, Inc.; President/Administrator/Dir. Of Patient Care Svs. Of Admiral Hospice Care, Inc.; & President/ Executive Director - Alpha Healthcare Management/Alpha Hospice Care.  All of these companies are owned and operated by Ms. Jones.  She is also branching out into the real estate business and is the President of Frontgate Properties & Investments.
Rich Cabael

Rich Cabael is the Founder/President and CEO of the VuQo Inc., which produces, import, and exports world-class wines and spirits to and form the Philippines.  Mr. Cabel created the blue print of the company and its overall strategy, including the 5-year plan, from production, G & A, sales and marketing.  Mr. Cabael formerly worked with The Margarita King, Inc., where he successfully built and executed the company’s strategy and sales forcast and created the sales development team.
